The summer heat is slowly losing its grip on Missouri and my thoughts are starting to stray towards the upcoming holidays. All the decorations to hang and all the gifts to give to friends and family. But for my readers, I just wanted to share my favorite flower books to inspire you to read, grow, and continue loving nature. These books are a great gift for your favorite flower lover, a flower grower (or yourself)!

Flora: Inside the Secret World of Plants by DK, Royal Gardens Kew

FLORA
I adore this book because the images are stunning, offering a fresh view of these flowers, while still providing botanical facts. This book is especially wonderful for a winter-time/Christmas-time gift to bring back botanical beauty that may be buried under snow and sparking imagination for the growing season ahead.

The Flower Arrangement by Ella Griffin

THE FLOWER ARRANGEMENT
This is one of my all-time-favorite fiction novels and one that I have gone back and read a few times. If you have followed my social media pages you may have seen this book as a giveaway on a couple occasions. I love it that much!
This book follows a florist who, despite experiencing great losses in her life, creates some inner-peace with a good sense of humor and new outlooks on life.

Floret Farm’s Cut Flower Garden by Erin Benzakein

CUT FLOWER GARDEN
If you are already in the cut flower world at all this book is probably an obvious choice on this list. Floret Farm has been taking instagram and the cut flower world by storm. They not only share their gorgeous blooms on their Instagram feed but also have an active blog and seed store for anyone looking to start their own little cut flower garden. This book is an excellent place to start and makes a great gift.

Color Me Floral: Techniques For Creating Stunning Monochromatic Arrangements for Every Season by Kiana Underwood

COLOR ME FLORAL
For those looking to get more into the design side of flowers this book is a fun and unique approach for contemporary design work. A paired down color pallete is a great way to really flex some creative muscles to play with textures, architectural designs. You can see our monochromatic design featured here on EquallyWed. This book does more than show you pretty pictures, it offers a step-by-step guide on making them yourself and help the reader gain confidence to create some amazing works of your own.

DIY Watercolor Flowers: The Beginner’s Guide to Flower Painting by Marie Boudon

DIY WATERCOLOR FLOWERS
This book is less of a curl up with a good cup of coffee on the back porch book, and more of a lazy Sunday learning a new hobby book. This book has stunning step-by-step examples for the simple fundamentals of watercolor flowers and a section of the book going over techniques and recommended materials. This is a great starting point for making beautiful floral-inspired art.
